Following Water
Studio II   |   Spring 2019
Instructor: Nina Ebbighausen

As the final project for site studio we were tasked with finding an under-recognized site condition and then leverage it using the program of a learning center. The site is Father Hennepin Bluff park located in Minneapolis Minnesota. The park is a hidden gem in the city which is surrounded by historical context and adjacent to the Mississippi River.
As walking through the site, I noticed the multitude of water sources such as raceways from the historic A-Mill, water percolating out of the cliff, storm water drains, all of which lead to the Mississippi.  My buildings on the site accentuate the tributary complicity of water on the site by leading the visitor along the movement of water to provide sensory experiences.
